Work 1-on-1 to strengthen your mindset and perform at your best when it matters most.
Whether you play individually or on a team, the mental side of performance affects every athlete. Confidence, focus, and pressure show up in every sport.
This is for athletes who are actively competing and want to gain a mental edge. You’re not just participating, you’re trying to perform at a higher level.
You know your skills in practice, but in competition your mind gets loud. We work on quieting overthinking so you can trust your training.
One mistake can shift your entire performance. You’ll learn how to reset quickly so one moment doesn’t define the rest of your game.
When it matters most, things tighten up. This coaching helps you stay present and perform closer to how you train, even in high-pressure situations.
Most athletes already have the ability. The difference is who can access it under pressure.
Build a stronger sense of trust in your abilities so you can compete without second-guessing yourself. You’ll learn how to stay steady even when results don’t go your way immediately.
Improve your ability to stay present during competition and block out distractions. This helps you lock in on the next play, shot, or moment instead of getting pulled into overthinking.
Learn how to manage nerves and stay controlled when stakes are high. Instead of tightening up, you’ll develop the ability to stay calm and perform closer to your true level.
Develop the skill of resetting quickly after errors so one moment doesn’t affect the rest of your performance. You’ll be able to move on faster and stay engaged in the competition.
Create a more repeatable mental approach that helps you perform closer to your potential more often. This reduces the highs and lows and builds steadier performance over time.
With a background in competitive sports, including golf, Mariana understands firsthand how much the mental side impacts performance. She works with athletes across sports to help them build confidence, improve focus, and perform at their best when it matters most.
My approach to coaching is rooted in positive psychology. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them identify their strengths, overcome limiting beliefs, and develop practical strategies for achieving their goals in their sports and in their lives.
I offer a range of mental performance services, including one-on-one coaching, team programs, and workshops designed to help athletes build confidence, improve focus, and perform under pressure. Each service is built around practical tools and strategies that can be applied directly in competition.
"Her work in developing player journals gave our athletes a practical tool to build reflection, accountability, and consistency. That ability to translate experience into effective mental performance resources is what makes her coaching through Hey Athlete stand out.
She has a strong understanding of the mental side of sport and communicates it in a way that resonates with athletes and teams. I’m confident she will continue to make a meaningful impact as a mental performance coach."
“Working with Mariana through Hey Athlete has added a new level of structure to my mental game. The journals she provided have become a key part of my routine, helping me track mindset, reflect after rounds, and stay consistent under pressure. It’s made my preparation more intentional and my performance more repeatable when it matters most.”
“He’s come out of sessions noticeably more positive and composed. He’s able to control his emotions better during and after rounds, and instead of dwelling on mistakes, he’s starting to learn from them. He’s not as hard on himself after a bad day, which has been a huge shift. We’ve really seen a big change in his mindset and overall approach. Thank you for the support, it’s made a real difference.”
